In 2012, Team Type 1 has signed an international roster of riders with a deep and strong level of European experience.

The 23-man squad includes world-class veterans Laszlo Bodrogi, Rubens Bertogliati and Alexander Efimkin, sprinter Aldo Ino Ilesic, stage specialists Javier Megias Leal and Alessandro Bazzana, climbers Will Dugan and Kiel Reijnen. Five of the riders have Type 1 diabetes: Fabio Calabria, Joe Eldridge, Alex Bowden, Martijn Verschoor and Javier Megias Leal.

In addition to five Americans there are riders from France, Italy, Russia, Slovenia, Netherlands, Spain and Ukraine. The team is a UCI-registered American Professional Continental squad, and is based in Atlanta, GA and La Spezia, Italy.
