Joe Eldridge-USA, 30, rode a strong Tour of Denmark in August, following a domestic race calendar that featured top American national calendar races, including Somerville, Greenville, Michigan, Idaho and his native Georgia. He also spent much of the 2011 season racing in China, India and Belgium. Diagnosed with diabetes at 10, Joe put the pedals into motion on the collegiate track circuit before turning pro, and has since risen up to control his diabetes and control the peloton. He has the rangy size and physicality of an athlete through and through, and does best in the hard chase that animates the final half of a 240km day.
