Jure Kocjan scored 21 Top-10 finishes in 2011 and is without doubt the star of the season at Team Type 1 - SANOFI. He reached the podium at GP Regio Insubrica in February and repeated top-step success again in March at Fleche d'Emeraude, in August at the Tour of Denmark and at the Tour du Limousin in France. His season highlight came at the Montepaschi Strade Bianchi in Siena with a fantastic 4th place.


Jure has the winning instincts and the rock-solid fitness to come across the finish line at the front from January to October. And in 2011 that's what he did - over and over again, Jure pounced with 800 meters to go and broke up the race, splintering the finishers into a pile of kindling before he lit the match that sent them all down in flames. Time and again Jure was there, and the victories slipped in a dizzying flurry of decisions and instincts. It reinforces the guiding principle of professional cycling: It takes a team to race. Jure is a winner, and this year Team Type1-Sanofi has the team to race for him.
